Beberapa penghargaan pun disabet oleh pabrikan Jerman itu. Sejumlah media asing bahkan memberikan gelar motor terbaik tahun ini.

Namun ada yang berbeda dalam gelaran Cologne Motorcycle Show 2010 di Jerman. BMW menampilkan S1000RR bergaya street fighter.

"S1000RR street fighter ini merupakan hasil rancang bangun Wunderlich yang khusus ditujukan untuk pameran Cologne," tulis MCN, Rabu (6/10/2010).

Wunderlich yang merupakan penyedia asesoris khusus motor-motor BMW di Eropa melucuti seluruh bodi S1000RR. Sebagai gantinya dipilihlah bodywork custom baru dengan gaya street fighter dari bahan serat karbon.

Sumber tenaga masih sama dengan S1000RR bawaan pabriknya, namun tim Wunderlich menggunakan knalpot Leo Vince.

Tidak dijelaskan apakah motor ini nantinya akan dipasarkan untuk publik atau tidak. Meski demikian S1000RR street fighter tersebut membawa angin segar tersendiri bagi para penggemar moge (motor gede) BMW.

JERMAN- BMW Motorrad belum lama ini memperkenalkan kelir baru Triple Black untuk R1200GS sebelum akhirnya resmi diluncurkan dalam ajang EICMA 2010 di Milan, November mendatang.

Selain mekanisme kalir di bagian bodi, sebenarnya tidak ada perbedaan mekanis pada R1200GS Triple Black ini. Meski demikian BMW juga sudah menyertakan asesoris berupa Enduro Electronic Suspension Adjustment, heater grips, hand guards, anti-lock brake, dan pannier mounting point.
